Mission Statement

The mission of the Brampton Flying Club is aviation education. We are committed to providing high-quality flight training programs, delivered by Transport Canada licenced flight instructors, in a safe, supportive, and professional environment. As a not-for-profit organization, we reinvest in our people, aircraft, and facilities to serve our members and the broader aviation community.

Our Core Values

Safety First

Safety and security are our top priorities. We maintain a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) and foster a culture of vigilance, non-punitive reporting, and continuous improvement.

Excellence

We strive for excellence in everything we do — from flight instruction and maintenance to member services and community engagement. Our reputation is built on decades of high standards.

Community

As a member-owned organization, community is at the heart of what we do. We provide a welcoming environment where students, pilots, and aviation enthusiasts can connect, learn, and grow together.

Integrity

We conduct ourselves with honesty and transparency in all our operations. As a not-for-profit, we are accountable to our members and committed to responsible stewardship of resources.

Education

Aviation education is our core mission. We invest in modern training methods, equipment, and facilities to provide students with the best possible foundation for their aviation careers or hobbies.

Innovation

We embrace new technologies and approaches to enhance our training programs, from advanced flight simulators and glass cockpit aircraft to modern online reservation and records systems.

Our Commitment

Since 1946, the Brampton Flying Club has been dedicated to producing skilled, safe, and confident pilots. Thousands of graduates have gone on to successful careers with major airlines including Air Canada, Jazz, Porter, Sunwing, CargoJet, and many others around the world. Many more have earned their wings for the sheer joy of flight.

Our commitment extends beyond the cockpit. We actively support our local community through programs such as the 892 Snowy Owl Air Cadet Squadron, the Youth Flight Camp, annual events, and partnerships with organizations like Hope Air. The Brampton-Caledon Airport generates significant economic benefit for the region and serves as a vital transportation and emergency access hub.
