The Brampton Flying Club employs approximately 90 staff across a wide range of aviation and support roles. As one of Canada's leading flight training organizations and the operator of the Brampton-Caledon Airport, BFC offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment for aviation professionals and those who support them.

Career Areas at BFC

Flight Instructors

BFC regularly hires qualified flight instructors. Successful IATPL and College Program graduates (top 25%) may be offered a flight instructor interview. Instructors gain valuable experience and flight hours while building the next generation of pilots.

  • Must hold a valid CPL and Flight Instructor Rating
  • Category 1 Medical required
  • Opportunities to build hours toward airline pathway programs

Dispatch & Front Desk

Dispatch and front desk staff are the first point of contact for members and visitors. These roles involve aircraft scheduling, flight following, and general administrative support.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Aviation knowledge is an asset
  • Comfort working with booking and dispatch systems

Aircraft Maintenance

The BFC maintenance department is a TC-approved maintenance organization and authorized Cessna Service Centre. Maintenance positions require appropriate AME credentials.

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence required
  • Experience with Cessna aircraft preferred
  • Opportunities in engine overhaul, sheet metal, and avionics

Flight Line & FBO

Flight line staff handle fueling, ramp services, and towing for based and transient aircraft. These positions are a great entry point into the aviation industry.

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Valid driver's licence required
  • Interest in aviation and willingness to learn

Pilot Shop

Humphrey's Pilot Shop serves the aviation community with supplies, gear, and gifts. Retail positions involve both in-store and online sales support.

  • Retail experience preferred
  • Aviation knowledge is an asset
  • Friendly, customer-focused attitude

Restaurant

The BFC Restaurant-Cafe serves members and the public daily. Kitchen and service positions are available on a regular basis.

  • Food service experience preferred
  • Smart Serve certification an asset
  • Ability to work weekends
