Career College
Ontario Career Colleges Act
Brampton Flight Centre is registered as a Career College under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005. This registration is granted by the Superintendent of Career Colleges at the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities, and confirms that BFC meets the standards required to offer vocational programs in the province of Ontario.
Registration under the Career Colleges Act provides students with important protections, including:
- Oversight of program quality and delivery by the Ontario Ministry
- Student protection through the Training Completion Assurance Fund (TCAF)
- Published program outcomes through Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Standardized enrolment contracts and refund policies
- Access to a formal complaint resolution process
BFC Registration
Brampton Flight Centre's registration under the Career Colleges Act covers our career programs including the Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence (IATPL) program and the College Program (Professional Pilot Diploma). These programs lead to vocational outcomes and meet the criteria for registration under the Act.
BFC's registration status can be verified through the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities website. Students considering enrolment in a career program at BFC can be assured that the organization meets all regulatory requirements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
As a registered Career College, BFC participates in the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) survey process. KPI results measure graduate satisfaction, employer satisfaction, graduation rates, and employment outcomes. These results are published annually and provide prospective students with objective data about the quality of BFC's programs.
KPI results for Ontario Career Colleges are available through the Ontario Ministry's website. BFC encourages prospective students to review these results as part of their decision-making process.
Ontario Career Colleges (Ministry)Student Protections
Training Completion Assurance Fund (TCAF)
The TCAF protects students in the event that a registered career college closes. If a closure occurs, the fund may provide eligible students with a refund of unearned tuition or assist them in completing their program at another institution.
Enrolment Contracts
BFC provides all career program students with a standardized enrolment contract that complies with the requirements of the Career Colleges Act. The contract outlines program details, fees, refund policy, and student and school obligations. Students have a cooling-off period after signing during which they may cancel without penalty.
Complaints
Students who have concerns about their program or experience at BFC should first raise them with BFC management. If the issue cannot be resolved internally, students may file a complaint with the Superintendent of Career Colleges.
