IATPL Testimonials
Our IATPL graduates are flying for airlines across Canada. Here are some of their stories about their experience at Brampton Flight Centre and their journey to the airlines.
Erik Bazant
First Officer, Jazz Aviation March 2019
Erik graduated from BFC's IATPL program and secured a position as a First Officer with Jazz Aviation through the pathway program. He credits BFC's comprehensive curriculum and the CAE Level D simulator training for preparing him for the transition to airline operations. The multi-crew cooperation training was particularly valuable, giving him experience working in a two-pilot cockpit environment before his first day at the airline.
Erik emphasizes that BFC's structured approach to training, combined with the pathway program, made the journey from student to airline pilot straightforward and achievable.
Sarah Azrak
Jazz Aviation March 2018
Sarah chose BFC for her flight training because of the IATPL program's unique features, including the CAE simulator time and the airline pathway programs. After completing her program, she joined Jazz Aviation and began her airline career.
Sarah highlights the supportive environment at BFC, the quality of the instructors, and the not-for-profit structure that kept training costs reasonable. She encourages anyone considering a career in aviation to look closely at what BFC offers compared to other flight schools.
Tom Kumaran
First Officer offer from Jazz at 560 hours March 2018
Tom received a First Officer offer from Jazz Aviation with just 560 hours of total flight time, demonstrating the effectiveness of BFC's pathway program and the airline's confidence in BFC graduates. Tom built his additional hours instructing at BFC after completing the IATPL program.
Tom notes that the IATPL program's emphasis on airline procedures, CRM, and the Level D simulator experience set him apart from candidates who trained at other schools. The pathway program provided a clear and achievable route to the airlines.
Darren Moorcroft
Porter Airlines, Q400 March 2017
Darren completed BFC's program and went on to fly the Bombardier Q400 with Porter Airlines. He took advantage of the "destination: porter" mentorship program, which provided him with guidance and career support as he built hours instructing at BFC.
Darren appreciates the mentorship he received from Porter pilots during the hour-building phase and credits BFC for providing an excellent foundation. He says the training at BFC prepared him well for the demands of airline operations on the Q400.
