Youth Flight Camp
The Youth Flight Camp at Brampton-Caledon Airport introduces young people ages 12 to 16 to the exciting world of aviation through a week-long summer program featuring actual flight training from certified flight instructors, ground school, simulator time, and airport tours. BFC has been serving the local community for over 75 years, inspiring the next generation of pilots.

Youth Camp will not be offered in August 2026. Please check back for information about the 2027 program.
Program Overview
Schedule
- 5 days, Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily
- Ages 12 to 16
- Maximum 15 campers per session
- Minimum 12 campers required to run
Cost
- Total: $995.00 plus HST ($129.35)
- Deposit: $100 (tax included, non-refundable)
- Balance: $895.00 plus HST, due two weeks before camp
- Deposit credited toward total cost
What's Included
- Approximately 10 hours of ground school instruction
- 1 hour of flight simulator experience
- Up to 4 hours of in-flight training in a Cessna 172 (weather permitting)
- Front-seat flight training with a certified instructor
- Radio exam preparation
- Full airport and aviation facility tours
- Two snacks provided daily (bring your own peanut-free lunch)

In-Flight Lessons
Campers receive actual flight training from the front seat of a Cessna 172 with a Transport Canada certified flight instructor. Lessons cover:
- Aircraft attitudes and movements
- Straight and level flight
- Climbs and descents
- Turns
- Takeoffs and landings
- Radio procedures
Flight hours are weather permitting and not guaranteed.

Registration
Enrollment is limited to 15 campers on a first-come, first-served basis. A minimum of 12 campers is required for the program to run. To register, purchase a $100 deposit through the BFC online shop or at Humphrey's Pilot Shop.
