Brampton Flight Centre offers training for a full range of pilot ratings and endorsements. These ratings allow you to expand your flying privileges, qualify for new types of operations, and advance your career. Each rating can be added to an existing pilot licence.

Flight Instructor Rating

The Flight Instructor Rating allows you to teach others to fly. It is one of the most popular ways to build flight time toward the airline minimums. Training includes advanced aeronautics, instructional techniques, and a Transport Canada flight test.

Instrument Rating (IFR)

The Group 1 Instrument Flight Rules rating qualifies you to fly in instrument meteorological conditions (IMC). This is an essential rating for any career pilot and is required by most commercial operators and airlines.

Multi-Engine Rating

The Multi-Engine Rating qualifies you to fly aircraft with more than one engine. Training is conducted on the Piper Seminole (PA-44) and covers asymmetric flight, engine-out procedures, and multi-engine operations.

Night Rating

The Night Rating allows you to fly at night under visual flight rules (VFR). Training covers night navigation, night circuits, and the physiological effects of night flying. Required for many commercial operations.

VFR Over-The-Top (OTT)

The VFR Over-The-Top rating allows you to fly above a cloud layer in VFR conditions when the departure and destination are in VFR. This adds flexibility to your VFR operations and is a useful stepping stone toward the IFR rating.
